01A first look at a decade-long crime story

Tencent Video has released the first trailer for Evidence, an upcoming Chinese crime drama about organized crime and the police officers who refuse to let it win. The video went up on the platform's official YouTube channel on November 1, 2026, with a message asking viewers to stay tuned on Tencent Video and on WeTV for international audiences. No premiere date has been announced yet.

The lead cast is listed as Liu Yuning, Sun Honglei, Zhang Yifan and Han Dongjun. Wang Jinsong, Liu Huan and Yang Shuo are among the actors credited for special appearances.

02From a pawn to a gang boss

According to the official synopsis, the story starts in 2008 with Han Yongqiang, the driver of a local official named Li Xuedong in the city of Chengyang. Pulled between political power and criminal groups, Han slowly turns from a pawn into the one moving the pieces, drives Li to his death and builds an empire held together by family ties and shared interests.

By 2018, a fall from a building linked to his daughter Han Shanshan shows how far his influence reaches, from public opinion to the courts.

03The task force that will not stop

On the other side is criminal police officer Gao Yuan and a special anti-gang team. Witnesses die and evidence disappears, and the team's investigations are blocked again and again. With newer forensic methods and plenty of stubbornness, they finally find the key people and the proof that brings Han's empire down.
