iQIYI has announced that its romance drama When I Meet the Moon will premiere on November 5. The streamer shared the date in a new promotional video on its official YouTube channel on November 2, presenting Lu Yuxiao and Lin Yi as the leading pair. The Chinese title of the series is 折月亮.
02A love story with the roles reversed
The official video sums up the story in one line: she was the one who chased him first, but this time he has to fight to win her back. That points to a second-chance romance in which the balance between the two leads changes over time.
According to Taiwanese outlet Bella, Lu Yuxiao plays Yun Li, a shy young woman who goes to graduate school to prove she can stand on her own, while Lin Yi plays Fu Shize, a brilliant student she once admired in high school. The two meet again years later, fall in love, and are later pulled apart by their differences and old wounds.
