Netflix's Japanese Thriller Quiztopia Gets Official Trailer Before December 17 Release
Netflix releases the official trailer for Quiztopia, a Japanese dystopian series with Takayuki Yamada, arriving December 17 with all eight episodes.
01All episodes on December 17
Netflix has shared the official trailer for Quiztopia, a Japanese series based on a manga. According to Netflix's own upload, all eight episodes will stream worldwide on Thursday, December 17, only on Netflix.
02A quiz show that runs the country
The series is set in a parallel Japan where a government-approved quiz show has become the highest authority. The winner gains wealth and fame, and a new law forces the government to grant any request, however absurd. Losers face harsh forced labour, yet the live broadcast keeps pulling huge audiences. In short: win, and any wish is granted; lose, and you face forced labour.
03The host at the centre
Takayuki Yamada plays KK, the hugely popular host and entertainer who fronts the show. The story turns when KK meets an underground group that wants to bring the quiz system down, setting off a chain of events that shakes the whole country. The trailer description lists a large ensemble around him.
Quiztopia arrives in a single drop, so viewers can watch the full story at once.
