Overseas Security Guard Trailer Introduces Leon Lai and Eleanor Lee's Bodyguard Drama
WeTV and Tencent Video have released a trailer for Overseas Security Guard, starring Leon Lai and Eleanor Lee as a private security team abroad.
01A trailer for an action drama
Tencent Video posted the trailer for Overseas Security Guard (Chinese title 莫语者) on October 21, and WeTV English followed with its own version on October 22. Both official channels list Leon Lai and Eleanor Lee as the stars.
02The premise
The official synopsis describes the drama as a story about overseas private security, set against the backdrop of the Belt and Road Initiative. Wei Tian is a highly skilled protection specialist who loses his wife and daughter in a terrorist attack. He then hides his identity and forms a private security squad called "The Silent Ones" in a place named Antilocaris, where the team protects Chinese nationals living abroad.
03Where to watch
The WeTV description promotes the WeTV app, where subscribers to its VIP tier can watch VIP episodes early, in HD and without ads. The descriptions give the genre labels action, rescue and crime action, but neither mentions a premiere date, so the start of the series has not been confirmed in the sources we checked.
